I’ve been using the TD-H3 as my daily carry for the past year, and here’s a quick review based on real use:
👍 What I Like:
Compact and durable – fits in the pocket, holds up well
Color screen – bright and easy to read
USB-C charging – super convenient, charges fast anywhere
Battery life – I get 2+ days per charge
Multi-band receive – VHF, UHF, air band, FM, NOAA, etc.
Bluetooth + app programming – makes updates quick and easy
CHIRP support – works great for bulk edits and backups
👎 What Could Be Better:
Scan speed is a bit slow
Programming over USB-C can be hit or miss on some computers
A few friends had issues out of the box — mine has been solid though
✅ Final Thoughts:
After a year of daily use, I can say this little radio is reliable, easy to use, and packed with value for the price. Great for beginners, backups, or anyone who just wants a simple, solid HT.
Anyone else daily-driving this radio?
