Nagoya NA-771G Antenna for GMRS

Tried out the Nagoya NA-771G on my GMRS handheld. It’s a lot longer than the stock antenna, but it actually works. Definitely getting out farther and people say I sound clearer.

It’s supposed to be tuned for GMRS and from what I can tell, it is. SWR looks good.

Only thing—it’s kind of long for carrying around, but for general use it’s solid.

Anyone else using this one?

Hosted by KE6VDW and the All Your Base Network, this event brought together ham operators, mesh enthusiasts, and emergency-comms pros for a full day of radios, music, and innovation.

🎈 Main Highlight:
We launched a Radiosonde & Meshtastic Balloon into the stratosphere, transmitting live data to the network under node name AYBB (All Your Base Balloon). Viewers tracked it live on Meshtastic Maps and Radiosonde trackers in real time!
