Terms of Service

Welcome

Thanks for using HamLike. These terms explain what you can expect from the service and what I expect from you. They’re written in plain language on purpose — this isn’t a giant corporate contract, but it is a real agreement between you and the site operator.

Acceptable use

Be decent to other operators. In particular:

• Follow applicable laws and amateur radio regulations in your country.
• Don’t harass, threaten, or dox people; don’t post illegal content.
• Don’t spam, scam, or try to break or overload the site.
• Respect copyright and others’ rights — post content you’re allowed to share.

I may remove content, suspend accounts, or take other steps if something violates these expectations or puts the community or the service at risk.

Your content & ownership

You keep ownership of what you create. The words, images, and other material you post remain yours.

By posting on HamLike, you grant the site a non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute your content on and through HamLike (including reasonable technical copies, backups, and formats needed to run the site). That’s what makes it possible for others to see your posts and for the service to work at all.

You’re responsible for what you post. If you didn’t have the right to post something, that’s on you — not on other users or on me as the operator.

Moderation

HamLike is a community space. I (and any designated moderators) may remove or edit content, restrict features, or close accounts for abuse, spam, legal risk, or to keep the site usable. This isn’t a courtroom; reasonable judgment applies.

Service changes

HamLike is an evolving side project. Features, rules, and availability can change or pause. There’s no guarantee of uptime, permanent storage, or that any particular feature will stay forever. I’ll try to be fair and communicate when something big changes.

Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” to the extent allowed by law. I’m not liable for damages from use of the service, content posted by users, or outages. Other users’ posts aren’t endorsed by me. Use your own judgment on the air and online.

Privacy

How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms as the site grows. When I do, I’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using HamLike after that, you’re agreeing to the updated terms.
